Potable water - a precious commodity
Worldwide there is a rising demand for safe supply of drinking water. Particularly for remote locations, where only brackish or polluted water is available, automatic systems operating independent of the grid are required. For those applications T.A.S. has developed the modules of the GOR("Gained Output Ratio")-Series.
GOR-Systems
The thermodynamical principle of humid air distillation of T.A.S. uses thermal energy of 60 °C
to 85 °C for desalination. The sophisticated technology of the GOR-Systems results in a low specific energy consumption. Thus GOR-ME-Systems need only 110 kWh/m³ distillate, which is less then 1/6 of the energy consumption of conventional solar stills.
Economic supply of drinking water
The development of the GOR-ME-System has been directed towards an extremely low energy consumption for desalination. This is of particular importance for economic operation with solar energy. The low energy consumption results in smaller collector fields and reduces investment costs, which is essential for an acceptable water price. The GOR-ME-modules are available in three different sizes with a distillate production of 15 l/h, 30 l/h and 45 l/h.
The range of technologies offered by T.A.S. is completed by advanced high efficient solar collectors, which allow the direct heating of brackish or sea water. Thus a separate collector loop with heat exchanger can be avoided, reducing heat losses and increasing system performance as well as production of distillate.

Systems at your demand
The GOR-Technology of T.A.S. has a wide variety of applications. The modular concept allows easy adaptation to the specific requirements of the customer. System operation is automatic. Installation, operation and maintenance are simple. The product range comprises all components for solar as well as waste heat applications.
GOR-modules are delivered as mounting kit. The simple construction on site as well as the installation are done by a trained technician.
Quality of product water
The GOR-modules produce water of excellent quality. The mineral content of the distillate is far below 100 ppm TDS. Distillate production is almost independent of the salinity of the feed water. Thus high concentration ratios are possible. The main fraction of the feed water is delivered as distillate, only a small fraction is rejected as concentrate. Thus available water resources are used most efficiently.
